Yes, they’re tested by our Research & Development department, which consistently tests every product to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. The products aren’t tested and certified by third-party accredited certification bodies, as no standard exists, so there are no guidelines under which to do so. Therefore, any product certification for impact protection systems belonging to the same category as our products is based purely on in-house testing conducted by the seller itself.

Yes, all our systems are designed, engineered, developed and manufactured directly by Go Systems at our production site in Reggio Emilia. So our devices are Italian through and through.

They certainly can. Once we know the intended application (outdoors) for the impact protection systems you’ve chosen, we prepare the barriers with a special coating – Go Reflex – that protects against UV rays and weathering. This prevents components from fading in the long term.

Customers quite often extract an entire solution, pack it up, ship it and reinstall it at another site belonging to their group, even integrating it with new modules. This allows materials to be completely reused, giving new life to the barrier, ensuring rational use of resources and reducing the environmental impact.

Absolutely! We only utilise virgin polymer that has never been used before and has therefore never undergone any kind of alteration. This allows us to achieve maximum mechanical impact resistance for our products and means the polymer can be fully reused by means of a granulation process applied to production offcuts, which are therefore continually reintroduced into the production cycle, thus minimising actual waste.

No, as yet there is no Italian or supranational legislation regulating and governing this category of systems, whether ours or those of other companies on the market. A working group – of which Go Systems is a member – has recently been set up on this topic at the Italian standards body UNI (group code UNI/CT042/GL70). This has resulted in the drafting of TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (UNI/TS 11886-1:2022 “Industrial impact protection devices Part 1: Test methods and criteria for classification”) and a TECHNICAL REPORT (UNI/TR 11886-2:2022 “Industrial impact protection devices – Part 2: Selection criteria”). These are merely non-binding guidelines and can by no means be considered as a UNI EN standard. These guidelines will be evaluated by independent third-party bodies which will decide, based on a lengthy and complex process, whether or not to convert them into mandatory standards depending on their usefulness to the end user. That said, there is still a very long way to go before we have a binding standard.

It’s a dynamic fixing system accessory that absorbs and dissipates most of the energy generated by the impact, thus minimising the lever effect on the floor. This anti-strain technology prevents the usual breakage at floor level and deformation of the fixing system.

We recommend installation with core drilling in most cases, for its excellent performance and maximum durability. Core drilling is a must if your floors are old and damaged and/or if you need to install the device on asphalt. It allows you to install impact protection systems even where there are special structural conditions, including of a critical nature, and where high performance is required. Our bolt-down fixing system, on the other hand, is suitable for concrete floors and is easy to install, even for non-experts. It still offers excellent performance though, as it too is equipped with the SBS anti-strain system. It’s an excellent option in situations where core drilling is impossible due to interference with installations or critical issues related to the specific characteristics of the floor (underfloor heating, etc.).

Iron barriers aren’t elastic, so they get damaged after the first impact and need replacing. The floor fixing will also need to be repaired. By their very nature, they are prone to oxidation and rusting over time, so they require constant maintenance. Iron products don’t meet safety, accident-prevention or health and hygiene requirements. What’s more, maintaining or replacing damaged parts of more or less elaborate barriers is tricky and calls for the assistance of a professional metalworker, using challenging and complex procedures.

They are weatherproof and resistant to chemical agents, requiring ultra-low levels of maintenance. They also meet safety and accident-prevention requirements and comply with health and hygiene standards. It’s quick and easy to replace barrier components, where necessary, and you can do it yourself using everyday tools.
